Meet Master Kim
Master Kim was born and raised in Seoul, Korea and has been training in Taekwondo since he was 4 years old. Master Kim is a 6th Dan Black Belt recognized by the world taekwondo headquarters, Kukkiwon. He is the proud father of two sons and a daughter, who can often be seen helping around the doajng.
In 2019, he proudly led two students to the Kimunyong Cup International Open Taekwondo Championship where they earned a gold medal in Seoul, Korea.
Our Story
World Champion Taekwondo New Fairfield was founded in 2012 by Master Kim. Master Kim knew that the town of New Fairfield needed a community focused on instilling the benefits of martial arts into their children, and he was determined to bring his training to his hometown of New Fairfield. Master Kim’s passion for taekwondo made him instantly an important figure in the community and he has changed the lives of hundreds of families.
